MHA on the move 5K Run/Walk and 1
Mile Kids’ Race
The third annual MHA on the move was a tremendous success! MHA wishes to
thank the hundreds of runners, walkers and volunteers who came out to FDR Park in
Yorktown Heights to help promote mental health and wellness. Together we raised
more than $100,000 for MHA’s advocacy, education and direct service programs,
while raising awareness and fighting stigma.
Special thanks go out to all of our sponsors,
particularly our Platinum Sponsors: Bristol-Myers Squibb, Commerce Bank, El Aguila,
News 12 and WFAS. We would also like to thank our special guests: CNN’s Gerri
Willis, NBC’s Stone Phillips, Meredith Vieira, and Jimmy Roberts, and WNBC’s Darlene
Rodriguez. Finally, we would like to recognize the MHA on the move Committee,
particularly Co-Chairs Debra Del Toro-Phillips and Patrice Ingrassia, for their vision
and hard work, which helped make this year’s MHA on the move such a wonderful
and successful event.
Congratulations to everyone who participated, especially the top overall finishers in
the 5K. Mike Murphy of Peekskill won the men’s division with a time of 17 minutes
and 23 seconds. Jennifer Latham of Yorktown Heights led the women with a time of
