Interested in making a difference in your community?

There are many ways to support MHA and promote the mental health of your community. Some are excellent opportunities for high school students and others who are seeking to fulfill public service requirements.

Board of Directors and Planning Committees

MHA is looking for a few talented and conscientious volunteer Planning Committee Members and potential Board Members to help guide MHA of Westchester’s future. We are actively seeking candidates with skills in the following areas:

Development/Marketing

MHA is seeking experienced marketers, salespeople and fundraisers to assist with recruiting and securing sponsorships and donations for its fundraising events and other development initiatives.

Finance/Accounting

MHA is seeking professionals with stellar financial skills, especially CPAs, to work with staff and Board members to ensure the agency’s continued financial health.

MHA Development Department

You can be part of dynamic efforts to build for MHA’s future. Volunteers in the Development Department may sit on event planning committees, assist with mailings and provide support at our events. For more information, call 914-345-5900 ext. 209.

MHA Education Department

Community education is a powerful tool to combat stigma associated with mental illness. MHA’s Education Department often seeks volunteers to assist with organizing conferences, sending mailings and enhancing the content of this web site. For more information, call 914 345-3993 ext. 222.

Holiday Outreach

Holiday Outreach is an annual gift-giving project that serves thousands of children, teens, adults and seniors who are coping with mental illness. Volunteers are needed to acquire donations and assist in distribution. For more information, call 914 345-5900 ext. 202.

Sterling Club

Sterling Club, located in White Plains, is a place where individuals with psychiatric disabilities engage in meaningful and satisfying social, vocational, educational activities in a non-stigmatizing setting. Volunteers are needed to assist in vocational training and in social activities. For more information, call 914-949-1212 ext. 215.
