As September 11th Approaches, MHA of Westchester Provides Help to Responders and Emergency WorkersWestchester County, August 28, 2007 – The anniversary of September 11th is a difficult time for many, but especially for providers of emergency services. The Center for Responders and Emergency Workers (CREW), a program of the Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA), provides support and counseling to police, fire, and emergency medical service workers and their families. The CREW program, which began five years ago, provides a confidential and supportive environment to talk and explore the challenges of work life, family life and relationships. CREW offers outreach, individual, and family counseling; crisis intervention, medication therapy; and advocacy. Most insurances are accepted and sliding fee arrangements are also available. Program sites are located in Elmsford and Mt. Kisco. For information about CREW, please call MHA’s Information and Referral Service at 914-345-5900 or by
e-mail at help@mhawestchester.org.
