Sterling Club Facilitator

Position Summary

The Facilitator is responsible for the provision of social and vocational services to individuals with serious psychiatric disabilities. A Facilitator is expected to know and follow the established policies and procedures of the Mental Health Association and the philosophy and goals of the Sterling Club and Social Club Services.

Hours of Work

The Facilitator works 35 hours per week.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The Facilitator is responsible for:

  1. Facilitating vocational and case-management services in a Clubhouse setting. These services include direct client contact, outreach, facilitating program development among club members, and intervening in behavioral and/or crisis situations.
  2. Helping those members who express a desire to work to choose and get work.
  3. Establishing working relationships with club members’ significant network and coordinate transportation services.
  4. Supervision of Assistant Facilitators and/or volunteers.
  5. Attending regularly scheduled supervisory sessions.
  6. Processing and submit Intakes, progress notes, club expenditures and CSS certifications.
  7. Facilitating weekend social/recreational programs.
  8. Active job coaching at transitional employment sites.
  9. Other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

The Facilitator must have a two-year degree from an accredited college and a minimum of two years experience in human services either as a staff member or a recipient of mental health services. Candidates must consent to Fingerprinting and a Criminal History Information Records search.

Reporting Relationship

The Facilitator reports directly to the Program Director.
