Clinician – Partners in Parenting
Position Summary
The clinician is responsible for the provision of direct, home-based clinical
services and coordination with other agencies serving the clients. A staff
therapist is expected to know and follow the established policies and procedures
of MHA of Westchester.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The Clinician is responsible for:
- The provision of direct, home-based clinical services which may include
but are not limited to: assessment and treatment planning, individual,
family and group psychotherapy, crisis counseling, and community
consultation and education under the supervision of the Coordinator of the
Partners in Parenting Shelter Plus Care program. The number of direct
service clinical contacts is set initially at 10 per week, though this may
change according to program needs.
- Identifying case management needs of clients and coordinating with other
community agencies to have these needs met.
- Participation in program development and in training programs as
requested by the Partners in Parenting/Home-Based Programs Manager.
- Following the established clinic policies and maintaining appropriate
professional standards.
- Providing after-hour emergency coverage via paging system.
- Meeting MHA guidelines to drive agency vehicles.
- Other related duties.
Hours of Work
35 hours per week
Minimum Qualifications
Social Workers - Must possess a Masters degree in Social Work and be certified
in New York State.
Psychologists - Must posses a doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) and be
eligible for New York State licensing as a clinical psychologist within one year of
being hired.
Candidates must consent to Fingerprinting and a Criminal History Information
Records search.
Reporting Relationships
Clinicians report directly to the Director of the Partners in Parenting Program.
