Our Treatment Services for AdultsPeople often seek mental health treatment when they are experiencing very stressful feelings or behaviors and are having difficulty coping with them. Others come to therapy on the advice of a doctor, spouse, lawyer or employer. Our clinics in Elmsford, Mount Kisco and White Plains offer a variety of treatment services for adults. Is It For Me?Consider the followings situations. If some of them apply to you or a loved one, therapy may be of help.
If you have any of these symptoms as a result of medication or a medical condition, please be sure to discuss them with your doctor. They may be side effects of medications that will diminish over time, or they may need to be addressed. What We DeliverOur clinics are licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health and provide individual, family and group therapy for adults. Medication therapy may be a part of any of these treatments. Specialized treatment is available for adults with depression, anxiety, trauma histories and more serious mental illnesses. We also have home-based therapy for adults and children through the PIP (Partners in Parenting) program. To see if you are eligible for a therapist to come to your home, please call Program Coordinator Kimberly Naclerio 914-666-4646, extension 121. WhenOur clinics are open Monday through Friday, beginning at 9:00 AM. There are evening hours every weekday except Friday. Please call the clinic most convenient to you for its evening hours. Partners in Parenting (PIP) services are available through both community-based and shelter-based programs. Each provides services Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For more information on home-based programs, please see the section on Partners in Parenting. For more information on our shelter-based program, please see Services for the Homeless. Partners in Parenting services are available to parents and other adults who have responsibility for raising children and to children and adolescents. All of our treatment programs provide emergency coverage through a beeper system for weeknights and weekends. The clinics’ staff members are available to help with crises even when the clinics are closed. Languages SpokenPlease contact individual sites for availability of a particular service in Spanish. CostWe accept many health insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. We also have a sliding fee scale with fees ranging from $5 to $100. (Please see the section entitled How Much Does Therapy Cost and Does My Health Insurance Cover This Expense? for a description). No one is denied treatment services at our clinics because he or she is unable to pay standard fees. Staff/Service ProvidersOur staff members who work with adults in our clinics and in home-based treatment are master's level certified clinical social workers (CSW’s), psychologists (PhD’s, PsyD’s), or medical doctors (MD’s) who are trained as psychiatrists. Our clinics have internships for advanced graduate students training to be therapists. These students are supervised by senior clinic staff members. Some people coming to the clinic work with these students. Persons may choose not to work with a student if they prefer. Return to the top of the page.
