CrossroadsCrossroads provides community-based mental health treatment, case management, independent living services and housing to young adults who have a history of serious emotional disturbance or a current serious mental illness. Crossroads serves young adults who are experiencing educational, vocational, interpersonal, family and peer transitions. Crossroads operates out of the Sterling Center, a clinic licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. Is It For Me?Crossroads serves Westchester County young adults between the ages of 17 and 22 years old who currently have a serious mental illness or have a history of serious emotional disturbance. Crossroads prioritizes individuals who need a continuum of mental health services and are more likely to benefit from community-based care rather than clinic-based services. Crossroads helps young adults who are interested in setting and achieving personal goals. Crossroads helps young adults successfully transition from adolescence to the adult world. What We DeliverCrossroads provides case management, mental health treatment and housing services to young adults. Crossroads is a mobile program, and staff members meet with individuals in their homes, at school and other community settings. Crossroads staff can provide the following services:
Crossroads also provides supported housing to a small number of our clients. Housing requests come through the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health Housing Committee. WhenCrossroads hours are flexible and based on individual need. Evening hours are available. Staff members are accessible for emergency coverage for their clients, after hours and on weekends through an emergency pager system. Languages SpokenServices are available in English. A Spanish-speaking psychiatrist is available. CostMedicaid, Medicare and most private insurances are accepted for mental health treatment. A sliding fee scale is available, which tailors fees for treatment based on an individual’s ability to pay. No one in need of Crossroads mental health treatment is ever denied services due to an inability to pay. There is no fee for case management services. Medicaid may be billed if available. Staff/Service ProvidersCrossroads is a multidisciplinary team comprised of a Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, Master's level Certified Clinicians, a consulting Psychiatrist, Case Managers with a variety of expertise in the mental health field and consulting housing and vocational specialists.
