Family Abuse Court Services (FACS)The Family Abuse Court Services Program (FACS) trains community volunteers to help any individual seeking an order of protection from the Family Courts in White Plains, Yonkers or New Rochelle. FACS assists individuals and families torn by domestic violence who seek relief through the courts. Is It For Me?Anyone coming to the Family Court in White Plains, Yonkers or New Rochelle seeking an order of protection may access our service. In order to be eligible for Family Court, you must be related to the person you are filing a petition against by blood or marriage or you must have a child in common with that person. In addition to contacting the White Plains, Yonkers or New Rochelle FACS staff with questions, you may contact our Information and Referral Services at 914-345-5900, extension 240 or e-mail us at help@mhawestchester.org. The White Plains Family Court covers the majority of Westchester County except Bronxville, Crestwood, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings-on-Hudson, Tuckahoe, Yonkers, New Rochelle or Mount Vernon. Yonkers Family Court covers Bronxville, Crestwood, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings-on-Hudson, Tuckahoe and Yonkers. The New Rochelle Family Court covers New Rochelle, Mount Vernon and The Pelhams. What We DeliverOur Family Abuse Court Services help victims of domestic abuse negotiate the court system. Many individuals experience fears, confusion and frustration while seeking services to protect themselves and their families. Our staff provide the following services:
Where and WhenOur Family Abuse Court Services Program is available 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM weekdays at these court houses and can be reached by simply coming in: White Plains Family Court Languages SpokenServices are available in English. Spanish-speaking interpreters are available at the courts. CostThese services are free. Staff/Service ProvidersThe staff consists of one Program Director and two on-site supervisors. Staff are present at all three locations and supervise approximately 20 trained volunteers.
