The Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA) is a community-based not-for-profit committed to recovery-focused mental health services through advocacy, community education and direct services. We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist/Program Assistant in our White Plains Clinic.
The Receptionist is part of the person centered care team and responsible for greeting clients as they arrive, check-in/check-out, verifying demographics and collecting co-pays, if applicable. Work is performed in an office environment and involves frequent telephone contact with patients. Back office work includes processing incoming and outgoing mail, filing medical reports, and pulling patient charts. Work may be stressful at times and interaction with others is constant and interruptive.
The candidate must be a High School graduate or equivalent; have the ability to handle a multi-line phone system with professional skill, excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a challenging environment; word processing and computer experience, and a minimum of one-year work experience in customer service, preferably in a medical office setting. Candidate must be fluent in Spanish. Candidates must consent to Fingerprinting and a Criminal History Information Records search.
