We have an exciting new opportunity for a Full-Time Rehabilitation Counselor in our Apartment Treatment Program.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic and professional individual who will provide a therapeutic environment for adults recovering from mental illnesses in community-based scattered site treatment apartments and will support residents in their recovery to establish and reach goals aimed at independent living and community integration.
Responsibilities include supportive counseling, skill development, medication administration, assistance with daily living skills, crisis management, and transporting residents with agency vehicle when necessary.
The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with adults who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. Must have ability to exercise sound judgment, be compassionate and respectful, and work independently. Must be able to demonstrate an ability to engage with residents, deal effectively with crisis situations; multitask, computer literacy and good writing skills. Candidates must consent to Fingerprinting and a Criminal History Information Records search.
Ability to master an electronic record system, meet deadlines and productivity targets and willingness to grow and change are musts.
