It’s time to gear up
for MHA on the move 2009
MHA on the move: Run, Walk, Dance!

Run/Walk: Saturday,
September 26, 2009 ~ FDR State Park, Yorktown Heights, NY
The Mental Health Association of Westchester County, Inc.
(MHA) is getting ready for its annual MHA on the move: Run,
Walk, Dance! This year’s signature fundraising
event will be bigger and better than ever, and vital to our programs and
services. Please join us!
This two-part event will kick-off on Thursday, September 24,
2008 with the Dance Celebration
beginning at 6:30 p.m. at The Atrium in White Plains, NY. This fun-filled evening will
feature cocktails, dinner, dancing and a great party atmosphere. The
evening will also feature a silent and live auction and our awards
presentation to outstanding individuals and companies who embody the
essence of MHA and its mission. One of this year’s celebrity guest
and honorees will be Joey Pantoliano, actor and mental health advocate,
recognized for erasing the stigma associated with mental illness.
On Saturday, September 26th continue the fun at
our annual Run/Walk beginning at 9 a.m. at FDR Park featuring a 5K Run/Walk and
a 1-Mile Kids’ Race. Games, food and entertainment will abound.
Medals will be awarded to the top three male/female runners in each age
category. This unique and inspiring day fosters awareness and
appreciation of mental health, while addressing the stigma often
associated with mental illness.
