NWCC Welcomes Andrea Siegel, PhD
NWCC welcomes Andrea Siegel, PhD, an experienced psychologist to our outstanding staff. Dr. Siegel
has extensive experience working with children, families and adults. She trained at Cornell Medical
College’s Westchester Division and participated at Cornell’s family-centered consultation clinic, co-leading
groups for children of divorce. Through her education, training and experience, Dr. Siegel is expert in the
use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to treat Obsessive-Compulsive disorder, other anxiety
disorders, and mood disorders in adults and children. In addition to her expertise in CBT, Dr. Siegel has
training and experience in the use of psychodynamic, client-centered, family-systems and dialectical
behavioral therapy techniques.
Dr. Siegel earned her PhD in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo, where she specialized in developmental
and cognitive psychology research. She received her clinical psychology training at Case Western
Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, completing both adult and child clinical tracks. She expanded her
experience with children, families and adults during her internship at the St. Louis Psychology Internship
Consortium/Washington University and did a post-doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology at New York
Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College’s Westchester Division, where she gained her clinical
expertise in CBT.
Dr. Siegel brings a highly regarded empathetic approach to her clinical work and a wealth of experience
to northern Westchester families.
