Child and Adolescent Mental Health Problems/DiagnosesA mental illness is a condition that affects a person’s brain. It causes difficulties in thinking, feeling, behaving and relating to others. In children, more serious behavior or psychological problems are sometimes called emotional disturbances instead of mental illnesses.
