Giving > Giving to MHA of Westchester
Holiday Outreach
For over forty years, we have sponsored a gift-giving program during the winter holidays.
The gifts go to our clients and to people at Westchester clinics, hospitals, nursing homes and institutions,
as well as to homeless families. A gift from “someone outside” has special meaning for people
who are estranged from their families or who are without family and friends at this time of year.
You Can Help By
- Sponsoring an individual or family. Purchase gifts of food, clothing and toys
that meet the needs of that individual or family. New items only please.
You can also choose to
sponsor throughout the year.
- Encouraging other organizations, such as school classes, scout groups, fellow
employees, your church or temple, family and friends to be a sponsor.
- Designating a cash donation to purchase gifts for Holiday Outreach.
What a Difference You Can Make!
- At Work: "Our department had such a great time shopping for our adopted
family and it was much more satisfying than buying the same old gifts for
each other."
- At School: "I think teaching kids to think about others is a good thing to
learn in school. Giving to others who may not have what you do makes you
feel good."
- At Home: "I always try to teach my children how important it is to give to
their community. And it's a wonderful family outing when we go shopping
together knowing we are doing something nice for someone."
- Scouts/Clubs "Our Scout troop decided that we really wanted to help a
family to have the things that they might not be able to get for themselves.
It was a great service project."
