Driving Instructions
From the North
New York State Thruway (I-87) to I-287 Eastbound
Drive south on NYS Thruway I-87 over Tappan Zee Bridge to Exit 8, I-287 East.
(Do not stay on I-87; it takes you south to New York City.)
Drive east on I-287 to Exit #8W (Bloomingdale Road, The Westchester, Maple Avenue)
Stay in the left lane of the Exit Ramp.
At the foot of the Exit Ramp, turn left onto Bloomingdale Road.
Drive on Bloomingdale Road to the first right, Maple Avenue.
On Maple Avenue, drive through White Plains and past the White Plains Hospital.
Immediately after Maple Avenue merges with the Post Road (Post Road Elementary School will be on your
left), turn left onto Soundview Avenue.
On Soundview Avenue, go one block to Prospect. Turn left.
On Prospect Avenue, drive one block to Sterling Avenue. Turn left.
On Sterling Avenue, continue ¾ block. 29 Sterling is on your right.
For the Thrift Shop, located on the back of the building, continue on Sterling Avenue to the
corner. Turn right at the Bank of New York on to Maple Avenue. Continue one block
to Summit. Turn right. Our building is the second building on the right. Please park on the street.
From the West
Drive east on I-287 to Exit 8W, (Bloomingdale Road, The Westchester, Maple Avenue)
Follow instructions above for “From the North”
From the North or East
Merritt Parkway or New England Thruway (I-95) to I-287 Westbound
The Exit Ramp becomes Westchester Avenue.
On Westchester Avenue, continue to the left fork, Route 119.
On Route 119, continue in the left lane.
Make a left turn at Nordstrom’s in The Westchester Mall onto Bloomingdale Road.
Drive on Bloomingdale Road to the first right, Maple Avenue.
Follow instructions for On Maple Avenue in the “From the North” instructions above.
From the South
Major Deegan Expressway
Exit into Route 287 heading East.
Follow the instructions above for “From the West”
From the South
Hutchinson River Parkway or New England Thruway (I-95) to I-287 Westbound
Exit onto Route 287 heading West.
Follow the instructions above for “From the North or East”
From the South
Local Streets from Southern Westchester
Those in Southern Westchester may choose to take local streets to Route 22 (Boston Post
Road). Drive north on Route 22 to White Plains. Follow the green signs for "Maple Avenue".
For 29 Sterling, turn right at the Bank of New York. 29 Sterling is the second building
on your left.
For the Thrift Shop at 3 Summit, continue one block past the Bank of New York on
Maple Avenue. Turn right on Summit. 3 Summit is the second building on the right.

For some, it may be useful to take the Harlem Line train to White Plains; use Bee-Line Bus 40
(see above) to get to 29 Sterling.
From the Metro North Home Page, select Schedules, then select "East of Hudson".
Your "Arrival Station" is White Plains.
