Anti-Violence Programs for YouthWarning Signs/Senales de Advertencia, an anti-violence program for youth developed by the American Psychological Association and MTV, is now available in Spanish. The Warning Signs program includes a 22 minute video on youth and violence and an accompanying brochure about violence prevention. The brochure, written for teenagers and young adults, describes the warning signs of violence and teaches what you can do if you recognize those signs. The brochure also describes dealing with anger and controlling one’s own risk for violence including the risk of suicide as a form of violence against oneself. (Read our page on Suicide in Children/Adolescents to learn the warning signs, who is at risk, how you can help and for other information.) The film and brochure are now available in both Spanish and English. To borrow the film or obtain brochures, please contact help@mhawestchester.org.
