Social Security Benefits ManagementThe Social Security Benefits Management Program provides financial management of Social Security checks for adults with persistent and serious mental illnesses. The goal of the service is to help the person maintain a stable residence in the community through the payment of rent and bills, thereby preventing unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations or homelessness. Is It For MeThis service is for adults with a serious mental illness who have an Intensive Case Manager (ICM). Eligibility for the ICM program is defined as adults with a serious mental illness and one of the following conditions:
Referral for ICM services is through an application to: Centralized Case Management Referral Committee Additional eligibility is provided for persons participating in our Crossroads Program. WhereThe office of the Social Security Benefits Manager is at 29 Sterling Avenue, Click here for How Can I Get Here? WhenThe Benefits Manager is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Languages SpokenServices are available in English only. CostThe program is supported by the Intensive Case Management program through a contract with the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health. There is no cost to the eligible consumer. Staff/Service ProvidersThe program is provided by a person with a bachelor of arts who has over six years experience with this program. Return to the top of the page.
