Activities with Children - History Activity

The Intrepid Sea, Air Space Museum - Manhattan

The Intreped Museum complex will re-open November 8, 2008.

Located on the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, the museum features many interesting exhibits including historical dioramas and old Naval ships. Airplanes abound and don’t miss the A-12 Blackbird plane; it’s the world’s fastest jet and was once used as a CIA spy plane. Many of the Intrepid’s attractions are out-of-doors, so this is probably a better activity for a nice day.
