Operated jointly by MHA of Westchester, New York Hospital and St. Vincent’s Hospital, this line is for individuals who are feeling at risk of harming themselves.

National Suicide Hotline 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255)

For immediate assistance please call 911 or 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255). This number replaces the 1-800-SUICIDE Hotline.

Family Abuse Services 914-347-4558**

Operated by MHA of Westchester and the Northern Westchester Shelter for abused women, this line is for victims, witnesses or perpetrators of abuse.

Operated by the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, this line is for victims of family violence.

Child Abuse Hotline 800-342-3720

This is a New York State Registry Hotline to report suspected child abuse and/or neglect.

Rape Crisis Helpline 914-345-9111**

Operated by Victim’s Assistance Services, this line is for victims of rape.

Runaway Hotline 888-997-1583**

Operated by Children’s Village and Westchester Youth Services, this line is for runaway children who are in need of services and/or shelter.

National Runaway Switchboard 800-RUN-AWAY (800-786-2929)

The National Runaway Switchboard is the federally designated national communication system for runaway and homeless youth. It is available 24 hours a day throughout the United States and its territories. This line provides confidential crisis intervention and local and national referrals to youth as well as to their families and may provide services and transportation for youth who wish to return home.

New York State Senior Hotline 800-342-9871

This is an information and referral line for seniors. It is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is staffed by Seniors.

New York State Senior Abuse Hotline 800-342-3009

This referral service line is for victims and witnesses of elder abuse. It is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is staffed by Seniors.

If alleged abuse, neglect or mistreatment occurs in a Long Term Care facility in Westchester County, please call our Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) office at 914-345-3993, extension 234, Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM or leave a message.

New York State Department of Health Patient Care Hotline 888-201-4563

In case of an emergency in a long-term care facility, call this New York State Department of Health hotline number, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or call 911.

Operated by the Westchester County Department of Social Services, these lines are for social service emergency assistance including child abuse, housing, runaways, and elder abuse.

Mobile Crisis Team 914-493-7075**

Operated through the Westchester Medical Center, this line is for anyone who is talking about hurting themselves or someone else. When you call this line, a mobile team may come out to see you. However, if someone is in imminent danger of hurting themselves or someone else call 911.

Institutional Abuse 800-624-4143

Operated by the New York State Commission on Quality of Care for the Mentally Disabled, this line is for individuals who are reporting abuse suffered at an institution such as a hospital or community health center. Please note this line is not a 24-hour service.
