Join our Team! We are immediately hiring a Child Welfare Coordinator in our Functional Family Therapy Child Welfare program located in Tarrytown, NY.
Base Annual Salary Range: $70,000 to $78,000.
This position offers a $3,000 retention bonus!
SUMMARY of DUTIES
The Functional Family Therapy-Child Welfare Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the FFT implementation and ongoing service provision including site certification and the development of FFT activities. This involves managing clinical schedules/referrals/waitlists, engaging families, collecting/organizing/interpreting data. The individual must be eligible and responsible for holding a certification as an FFT clinical supervisor and provide both direct and indirect services. Direct services include treatment to a reduced caseload and supervisory responsibilities of the team as well as the overall management of the program. Indirect responsibilities include representing the program at meetings with other community agencies and other service providers. The goals of this short-term intervention are to improve family functioning, improve communication, reduce conflict, decrease problem behaviors, reduce hospitalization, reduce out of home placements and delinquency, improve parenting skills, and increase effective problem-solving skills. The Coordinator will support recovery by providing services that reflect our deeply held values that include the recognition of individual rights of self-determination, choice, shared decision-making and collaboration. The Coordinator will utilize this evidence-based practice; always embracing a trauma-informed and person-centered approach.
SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for adhering to all standards and guidelines established by applicable regulatory authorities.
2. Provide supervision, mentoring, and coaching to 3 FFT Clinicians and program assistant.
3. Collect, organize and interpret data and submit reports to Department of Social Services in a timely manner.
4. Monitor intakes & discharges. Direct and coordinate clinical admissions.
5. Responsible for maintaining clinical records including documentation and following guidelines and regulations for documentation of service.
6. Provide written reports and statistics as required.
7. Supervise the clinical record keeping of the team and the overall record keeping process.
8. Carry out quality assurance activities.
9. Participation in meetings with community agencies and other service providers as needed.
10. Complete evaluations of all direct reports.
11. Provide 24-hour crisis intervention on-call services on a rotating basis.
12. Attendance at internal management meetings as well as meetings with by Department of Social Services.
13. Coordinate treatment with other community agencies and services.
14. Participate in program development and training as required by DSS Contract.
15. Provision of direct clinical services for a reduced caseload which may include, but are not limited to, outreach, assessment and treatment planning, family therapy, crisis counseling and intervention, and community consultation and education.
16. Due to the nature of the program, must have the ability to be flexible with working hours.
17. Follow the established agency policies and procedures.
18. Maintain appropriate professional standards.

10. The Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Coordinator must have excellent skills utilizing Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must have a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a PhD in Psychology with 2 years clinical experience.
2. Must be licensed in New York State, be in good standing and remain in continuous good standing with the state’s licensing board: LCSW, LCSW-R or licensed psychologist.
3. Clinical supervision experience preferred.
4. Must hold certification in FFT clinical supervision or be willing to complete training within the 12-months post hire.
5. Must be able to work hours that facilitate meetings with families after school hours.
6. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
7. Must be reliable and able to work independently and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
8. Basic Computer knowledge and ability to document in an electronic health record is required.
9. Must have a valid Driver’s License and a driving record that is satisfactory to our insurance carrier.
10. Must maintain current New York State Defensive Driving certification.
11. Must be cleared NYS Justice Center through fingerprinting for a Criminal History Records search.
12. Must be and maintain clearance by the DCJS New York State Sex Offender Registry.
13. Must be cleared by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs Staff Exclusion List (SEL) and the New York State Medicaid Exclusion List.
14. Must be and maintain clearance by the DCJS New York State Sex Offender Registry.
15. Must be cleared by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) for instances of child abuse and/or neglect.
16. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
