Vice President of Community Programs (LCSW) - Tarrytown, NY

The Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA) is a community-based not-for-profit committed to recovery-focused mental health services through advocacy, community education and direct services. Join our Team! We have an exciting new opportunity for a full time Vice President of Community Programs (LCSW, LCSW-R or licensed psychologist).

SUMMARY of DUTIES
The Vice President (VP) is an essential member of the Management team. The VP will ensure quality services are in accordance with City, State, local regulatory entities and MHA standards, in all of our mobile sites and programs. The VP is responsible for all aspects of mobile operations as well as overseeing designated administrative functions. Sites include: OnTrackNY, Adult ACT, Mobile Crisis, Partner in Parenting (PIP), Single Homeless Assessment Center (SHAC), Driving Towards Resilience (DTR), Project Hope and Postvention. The VP will develop and maintain professional relationships with government agencies, other service providers and represent the organization in professional meetings, speaking engagements and other community events. Will work with the Chief Clinical Officer to ensure consistency, collaboration and complementary services between programs. Assures the organization's philosophy and mission statement are practiced throughout clinic services. The VP is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the program, services, and leadership staff.

SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Required to travel to all programs at minimum weekly. Be available for emergency calls during and after business hours.
2. Responsible for program development, financial health, compliance with external accountability sources and program monitoring.
3. Maintain the highest of standards for treatment and continuous quality improvement.
4. Ensures fiscal viability and management of budgets as it relates to revenue and expenses. Identify strategies to generate and maximize revenue.
5. In collaboration with program/project director, conduct regular evaluation of services and incorporate findings into future planning for services.
6. Administrative and organizational oversight of all mobile sites and program.
7. Takes a leadership role in strategic planning and innovation within the mobile programs.
8. Collaborate with program/project director in the supervision, training, development and evaluation.
9. Establish and maintain a culture that is recovery oriented, trauma informed and grounded in service excellence.
10. Provide supervision, mentoring, coaching and performance reviews for direct reports.
11. Responsible for adhering to all standards and guidelines established by applicable regulatory authorities i.e. OMH, DOH, DCMH, etc.
12. Oversees and participates in the recruitment, interviewing and hiring processes of staff within the mobile programs.
13. Participates in agency Quality Assurance initiatives and attends other internal meetings as required.
14. Implementation of new or expanded programs within the clinic division. Collaborate in responding to contracts and grant proposals.
15. Develop interagency agreements as required for program implementation.
16. Collaborate in gathering and reporting all required data elements to state and federal agencies in accordance to grants, contracts and other entities timelines.
17. Participate in opportunities to share learnings from our team’s work in external settings such as through conferences and published work.
18. Coordinate and plan with the IT department and practice management as needed.
19. Follows the established agency policy and maintain appropriate professional standards.
20. Other related duties as guided by Chief Clinical Officer.

12. Must have excellent skills utilizing Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be an experienced mental health professional as defined by Part 585 of the OHM regulations. i.e. LCSW, LCSW-R or Psychologist
2. Unrestricted, New York State licensure required and must be maintained in good standing.
3. Must have at least five years (in Not-For-Profit, preferred) of administrative experience and demonstrate ability to manage multiple programs serving special needs client population.
4. Bilingual, Spanish preferred.
5. Previous direct managerial responsibilities for a large multidisciplinary staff is required.
6. Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and data base management are desired.
7. Must be reliable and able to work independently and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
8. Must have a valid Driver’s License and a driving record that is satisfactory to our insurance carrier.
9. Must maintain current New York State Defensive Driving certification.
10. Must be and maintain clearance by the DCJS New York State Sex Offender Registry.
11. Must be and maintain clearance by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs Staff Exclusion List (SEL) and the New York State Medicaid Exclusion List.
12. Must be and maintain clearance by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) for instances of child abuse and/or neglect.
13. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
