It is with great pleasure that The Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA) announces the appointment of Stacey Roberts, LCSW as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.  Assuming this position is the culmination of Ms. Roberts’ more than twenty years of work with this agency. A skilled leader and clinician, Ms. Roberts began her professional career as a clinician at MHA. Throughout these years she has worked in, initiated and supervised programs throughout the agency. Rising through the organization, she served as Chief Operating Officer from August 2017 until earlier this year, at which time she assumed the role of MHA’s Acting Chief Executive Officer.  

Ms. Roberts is uniquely qualified to lead MHA.  Her strong knowledge of the field of behavioral health is complemented by the deep respect in which she is held by colleagues across the community and the positive regard of agency staff. As an agency leader and mentor, she is respected for the thoughtful approach that she brings to leadership, her clarity of thought and her commitment to mentoring staff as well as to the mission of MHA. Taken together, her knowledge, experiences and character fully position her to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer.  

Upon accepting the position, Ms. Roberts stated, “I am honored and humbled to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer at MHA.  This is an organization whose work is essential to our community and one to which I am fully committed. I look forward to working with our staff and partners to further MHA’s three-part mission to provide high quality services, effective advocacy and education.”

A graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work, Ms. Roberts has also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in the Treatment of Interpersonal Trauma at Fordham University. She has served on the Board of the Mid-Hudson Regional Consortium and continues to serve on Health First’s Westchester Behavioral Health Advisory Board and the NY State Coalition for Children’s Behavioral Health.
 
The MHA Board of Directors welcomes Ms. Roberts to this new role and looks forward to Ms. Roberts’ long tenure as CEO.
