Thank you to everyone who joined us on Wednesday, June 20th as we welcomed summer under the open sky at our mega-yoga event, Get On Your Mat For Mental Health on Court Street in White Plains.

Named "one of the world's most inspiring mega-yoga events" by Well+Good and a Westchester Magazine "Best of Westchester" award-winner, this empowering and energetic event featured live music from guitarist David Robles, a yoga marketplace featuring our sponsors and vendors, and a soulful and inspiring hour-long yoga class led by renowned teacher Sarah Platt Finger. Attendees came together collectively on their mats, telling the world they believe #mentalhealthmatters and raising vital awareness and support for mental health issues and services.

Meet Your Teacher:

Sarah Platt-Finger

Sarah Platt-Finger is the co-founder of ISHTA Yoga, LLC and the private yoga teacher of Dr. Deepak Chopra. She teaches trainings, workshops, and retreats internationally with her husband, Yoga Master Alan Finger. Sarah is on the Board of Directors for Exhale to Inhale, a non-profit organization that teaches yoga to survivors of domestic violence. Her daughter, Satya, inspires her every day to live a life based on love and unbound potential.

ISHTA Yoga blends the ancient and contemporary sciences of Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda. It is an authentic lineage of modern yogis which caters to the individual through alignment based flow, breath work, and visualization.

Meet Our Musical Talent:

David Robles

David Robles is a school and guitar teacher, musician, composer, and performer. His goal in life is to enrich people’s lives with music. As a composer he has written over 400 songs; he hopes to connect with music producers and others in the music business so he can co-produce, sell, collaborate and perform his music. He performs frequently in the New York City metropolitan area.
