The Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA) was pleased to open the doors of its recently renovated Mount Kisco clinic for a special community open house on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. The event, which welcomed fellow community organizations, highlighted the array of person-centered and trauma-informed services offered by the clinic.
Featuring walk-in appointments, a full range of clinical services and caring, skilled professionals dedicated to helping individuals with mental health issues on their journeys toward recovery, the Mount Kisco clinic is a vital resource for the larger community. The location also provides bilingual and bi-cultural treatment, support and linkages through its award-winning Nuestro Futuro program.
“We are so pleased for the opportunity to highlight the holistic services that MHA provides in Mount Kisco,” said MHA CEO Dr. Amy Kohn, as she addressed guests. “We are grateful for the support and partnership of our community, and we look forward to continuing our commitment to the men, women, children and families of Mount Kisco.”
Clinic Director Patrice Monaghan welcomed guests, which included individuals from the Bedford School District; The Children’s Village; Hope’s Door; Latino Providers; Lexington Center for Recovery; Mount Kisco Partners in Prevention; Mount Kisco Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Council; Neighbors Link Northern Westchester; Volunteers of America – Greater New York; and the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health. The event also featured remarks from MHA staff, including Ruthanne Becker, Vice-President of Rehabilitation Services; Dwayne Mayes, Coordinator of Peer Services; and Michael Went; Care Management Program Coordinator.
