The Mental Health Association of Westchester is pleased to announce that the Northern Westchester Recovery Network has an expanded service area, and is now positioned to provide peer services throughout the entire county. The program has been renamed Westchester Recovery Network (WRN) to reflect its expanded geographical reach.
Recovery Specialists help participants develop natural supports within their community and meet individuals where, when and how often they choose. Examples of peer support services provided by WRN’s Recovery Specialists include assistance with developing and growing social connections; advocacy in a variety of settings such as treatment, housing and employment; help accessing resources and referrals; connections to other peer services in the region; and wellness planning to support participants’ recovery.
The Westchester Recovery Network-Intensive (WRN-I) – which specializes in hospital diversion and community integration – was also recently renamed. Formerly known as the Westchester Recovery Network, this program helps participants avoid unnecessary hospitalizations and develop fuller lives in the community while providing peer support.
