Flemister and Rimland Join Board of Directors

The Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of David Flemister and Jason M. Rimland to its Board of Directors.

“On behalf of the entire agency, we are excited to welcome David and Jason to our dedicated and passionate Board of Directors,” said MHA CEO Charlotte Östman, LCSW-R. “Our Board plays a critical role in advancing our mission of advocacy, community education and direct services. I am honored they have chosen to devote their time and talent to improving behavioral health care in our community.”

A New York City native, Flemister has held many roles in marketing, including his current work as Account Managing Director at Young & Rubicam. “As the son of a minister and teacher, giving and community involvement is part of my DNA,” said Flemister. “Raising awareness for mental health is essential to ensure that we can identify challenges, foster acceptance and direct people toward the resources that are available to help.” A graduate of Connecticut College, Flemister lives in New Rochelle with his family, where he is also an assistant coach for the Iona College rugby team.

A Senior Counsel at Wuersh & Gering, a boutique law firm in Manhattan, Rimland specializes in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and debt and equity financing. He also currently serves as secretary on the Board of the Harold and Elaine Shames JCC on the Hudson. “I have seen firsthand how effective treatment can make a profound and positive impact on one’s life,” said Rimland. “MHA’s commitment to mental wellness, health and resilience right here in my community is inspiring.” Rimland, who received his B.S. from Cornell University and his J.D. from Fordham University, lives in Irvington, where he enjoys hiking and spending time with his family.
