safeTALK – Suicide Awareness for Everyone
Thoughts of suicide are common – more than 9 million American adults acknowledged having thoughts of suicide when asked that question in 2014. Recognizing and acknowledging risk of suicide is a powerful beginning to help save a life. safeTALK is a 3-hour training that teaches people not to “miss, dismiss, or avoid” signs of suicidal thinking, effective ways to start the conversation, and provides information to help connect individuals at risk to useful supports and services.
